Michael Rayvon Chamberlin was 17 when he was fatally shot on the evening of Friday, April 22, 2011. He lived in Southeast Washington, D.C., and the shooting occurred in the 3300 block of 27th Avenue in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland, in Prince George’s County, during a spring that saw a rise in violent crime there.
