On the early morning of February 14, 2009, 19-year-old Marvin Lynn Johnson was found on the sidewalk in front of Meade’s Liquor Store on Indian Head Highway in Prince George’s County, Maryland. He had been shot multiple times in his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Within weeks the Prince George’s County Police Department Homicide Unit identified a suspect. On March 3, 2009, 21-year-old Jerry Williamson was arrested in Washington, D.C., without incident and charged with first-degree murder; he was remanded to the Department of Corrections on no-bond status. The motive and the circumstances that led to the shooting have not been released.
Anyone who remembers events near Meade’s Liquor Store that night or has information about Marvin’s death is asked to come forward.
