Taij Damielle Payne, also known as Taij Damielle-Payne Bell, was shot and killed in Temple Hills, Maryland, on December 19, 2008. He was 31 years old.

An investigation was opened but details have been scarce, and the case has grown cold. A 2023 online forum post mentioned possible advances in DNA analysis that could generate leads, but there have been no law enforcement reports confirming suspect identifications, arrests, or official developments.

Anyone who knew Taij, witnessed the shooting, or has information that could help Prince George’s County investigators is asked to come forward.
