Victor White, 23, of Capitol Heights, Maryland, was killed during an attempted robbery at the Oriental Express carryout on Marlboro Pike on the evening of November 14, 2008.

An employee produced a firearm and shot White multiple times; he was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Prince George’s County detectives reviewed the restaurant’s security footage, interviewed witnesses and recovered the weapon used. After presenting the evidence to the State’s Attorney’s Office, authorities concluded the shooting was justified and declined to file charges.
