Shaun D. Hutchinson, 41, of Easton, Pennsylvania, was shot dead on the evening of March 5, 2021, in Yonkers, New York. The shooting took place in the first-floor hallway of a residence at 157 Warburton Avenue; Hutchinson was found with a gunshot wound to the head and pronounced dead at the scene.

Hutchinson was visiting a woman with whom he shared a child when a confrontation began after Alexis D. Rose, 35, of the Bronx — who also had a child with the same woman and whose presence violated an order of protection — arrived at the apartment. The altercation escalated and Rose produced a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and shot Hutchinson multiple times before fleeing in his vehicle. Police later located Rose’s car in Mount Vernon and took him into custody after an attempted stop; a subsequent search of his home turned up gun-related items and an empty ammunition box.
