On February 16, 2021, state troopers found a 2021 Hyundai Sonata fully ablaze near exit 16 on the Palisades Parkway in Stony Point, New York. After firefighters put out the fire, the body of 35-year-old Ronald Mann of the Bronx was discovered inside the charred vehicle. The Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office found Mann had sustained a gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide.
Investigators say the case traces back to the evening of February 15, 2021, when Mann was allegedly shot at his Call Hollow Road residence in Haverstraw. Detectives later focused on 36-year-old Robert Rodriguez of Stony Point and, after a lengthy inquiry, charged him in connection with the slaying and the subsequent burning of the car.
Did anyone in the area know Ronald Mann or notice anything unusual on the Palisades Parkway that night?
