Nancy Meither, 66, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, was last seen on September 28, 2018, while on vacation with her husband in Panama City Beach, Florida. The couple had been staying at the Sunbird Condominiums and were watching a final sunset on the beach. Around 10:00 p.m. Nancy’s husband, Jerel Meither, returned to their condo, leaving Nancy on the beach. When he woke later that night and found she had not returned, he searched and found only their beach chair still in place.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman matching Nancy’s description standing in the water at sunset, up to her neck, holding a cup. She was last seen wearing a black and silver swimsuit. Local authorities, the Coast Guard, and volunteers conducted extensive searches but no trace of Nancy has been found. There is speculation she may have drowned, though her family says she was not inclined to swim alone late at night.

Anyone who was on Panama City Beach that evening or who may have seen Nancy is asked to come forward with information.
