Sam Powliss, a 30-year-old man from Irving, New York, was killed on March 6, 1995. Law enforcement opened an investigation and worked to reconstruct his final movements, interviewing people who might have had information and examining evidence to identify anyone involved.

Despite those efforts and later reviews of the matter, the death remains unsolved.
