Jean-Marc Faubert, 28, a Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, was last heard from at about 10:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Concern escalated the next morning when he could not be reached. At about 5:45 AM on Friday, May 25, his 2007 gray Infiniti G35 was found abandoned in the south parking lot of the Deception Pass Bridge on Whidbey Island. His wallet and cell phone were inside the car, but the vehicle keys were missing.

Faubert is described as a white male, bald, with green eyes, about 5 feet 10 inches and 185 pounds. He was believed to be wearing a black or purple anime t-shirt, black basketball shorts, and black and white Nike basketball shoes when he vanished. Multiple agencies, including the Burlington Police Department, Washington State Parks, the Coast Guard, and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, responded to the search and investigation, which has since grown cold.

The location and condition of the car are the case’s central mystery; beyond that, few concrete answers have emerged. If anyone saw Jean-Marc, his car, or anything unusual near Deception Pass Bridge on the night of May 24–25, 2018, please share what was seen.
