Robert Robbie Plyley was a 15-year-old sophomore at Alta Loma High School who was shot and killed during a large Halloween party in Bloomington on November 1, 2022. The gathering on Geronimo Avenue drew an estimated 300 to 400 people, and neighbors reported loud disturbances and partygoers spilling into the streets. Around 1 a.m., a fight broke out; Robbie intervened to stop a male from fighting a female and was shot. Deputies found him with gunshot wounds and he was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department collected evidence from the chaotic scene, including shoes, cups, bottles and costume pieces. The school district provided counselors and therapists for grieving students and staff. In April 2023, authorities arrested 19-year-old Israel Diaz in connection with Robbie’s murder; he was located as he attempted to re-enter the United States and was expected to be transferred to San Bernardino County custody.

If anyone attended that party or has information about what happened that night, please come forward and share what can help the investigation.
