Eduardo Villaseñor Jr., 38, of Chula Vista, California, was fatally shot on October 26, 2022, in the 500 block of E Street. According to reports, the shooting began as a car-to-car confrontation: Villaseñor was approached by another driver, an altercation followed, and he was shot multiple times. He was taken to a nearby hospital and died shortly after arrival.

Chula Vista police describe the suspect vehicle as a gray 2010–2012 Nissan Altima with a dent on the driver-side rear quarter panel and stickers on the trunk and rear window. The suspect was seen fleeing westbound on E Street toward Interstate 5 and was described as a light-skinned man with a shaved or bald head. In December 2022 police named Angel Bojorquez, believed to be in his early to mid-20s with ties to Tijuana, Chula Vista, and San Diego, as a person of interest; he remained at large and investigators asked the public for help.
