I've been contemplating the kind of person that John Mendez was, especially through the stories shared by those who knew him. It seems that he embodied the spirit of duty and resilience, likely due to his military background. It's so tragic to think that someone who dedicated his life to protecting others and serving his community would be taken so violently. The circumstances around his death are deeply disturbing, especially given the betrayal by someone he once worked alongside at GardaWorld.
