Michael Daniel Crumm, 23, was fatally shot on August 16, 2022, on the 500 block of Third Street in McFarland, California. Coroner’s officials say he suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The McFarland Police Department is handling the investigation and has asked anyone with information to come forward.

A person of interest was later taken into custody after a standoff that involved Kern County SWAT and officers from the Delano and McFarland Police Departments at a residence on 19th Place near Inyo Street in Delano.
