Randy Ray Belanger was 18 and a resident of San Anselmo when he was found dead March 3, 2022, in the parking lot of an apartment building at 419 Drake Avenue in the Golden Gate Village neighborhood of Marin City. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple reports of gunshots and located Randy beside a four-door sedan with an open rear door; bullet casings were scattered around the scene, and he was pronounced dead there.

Randy had recently graduated from San Andreas High School in Larkspur and was attending the College of Marin. Family and friends remember his warm smile, sense of humor, interest in cooking and podcasts, and the time he spent with family and his girlfriend. No arrests have been announced and authorities have not released information about suspects or a motive; the investigation is ongoing.

Does anyone who was in the Golden Gate Village area on March 3, 2022, or who knew Randy have information that could help investigators?
