Dillon Entler, 31, of Cabazon, California, was reported missing by his mother in late August 2021 after she could not reach him for several days. Investigators say evidence later pointed to homicide. Authorities allege Richard Eugene Seevers, 59, and Frank Edward Mansfield, 49, killed Entler after Seevers acted on a false claim by his girlfriend, Ashley Goodro, that Entler had sexually assaulted her.
When Entler emerged, Seevers confronted him and shot him multiple times. The two men are said to have taken Entler’s body to an abandoned ranch in Poppet Flats and buried him; they later exhumed and reburied the remains at a spot known as Dead Man’s Corner in Cabazon.
The investigation stretched about two years. Seevers and Mansfield were arrested in August 2023 and charged with murder; Seevers was convicted of first-degree murder in June 2024 after a two-day jury deliberation and is awaiting sentencing. Mansfield’s case was severed for a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation and he remains in custody. Entler’s remains have not been found.
Did anyone in Cabazon or Poppet Flats know Dillon or notice unusual activity near Dead Man’s Corner in 2021?
