Amanda Hill, 39, was fatally shot on July 15, 2021, in Gardena, California, while visiting from Oklahoma with her husband, Rance Hill. The couple was at a liquor store parking lot near 12714 S. Western Avenue, around 8:47 p.m. Amanda was sitting in their car while Rance was playing dominoes at a table set up in the parking lot when a fight erupted and gunfire left both Amanda and Rance dead at the scene.

Amanda was a mother of three adult sons, two serving in the U.S. Army. Her family arranged to have her body returned to Oklahoma for burial and has sought public help through a GoFundMe to cover funeral and transportation expenses. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has not released details identifying suspects, and as of the latest information there have been no arrests.
