The person who pulled Jabbar out of the car and attempted CPR—imagine the trauma and impact on their life after trying so desperately to help. They might not have known about the gunshot wound initially, but they saw someone in distress and did everything they could. It's a reminder of how even a moment's encounter can change a person's life. I hope that bystander has access to support and counseling; being thrust into such a violent scene isn’t something anyone should face alone. Thoughts and prayers go out to Jabbar’s family, and I hope they find peace amid such tragedy.
