On May 6, 2021, Brenda Jimenez, 23, was found dead in the driver’s seat of a Chevy Impala in West Sacramento after the car crashed into a garage door. The vehicle had multiple bullet holes; Jimenez was pronounced dead at the scene and the cause of death was a gunshot wound that penetrated her heart. A passenger, 26-year-old Kenneth Robinson Jr., was shot in the back and survived after being taken to UC Davis Medical Center.

Investigators say an abandoned Chevy Tahoe that had also crashed nearby was linked to 20-year-old Jose Tellez Flores. Surveillance and traffic camera footage, GPS data, and a Ring camera showed a Tahoe pulling up beside the Impala, the Impala speeding away, the Tahoe pursuing it and multiple gunshots being fired. After the Impala crashed, someone was recorded firing into the vehicle and several people, including Tellez Flores and his brother Felipe Tellez, fled on foot.

If anyone has information about the shooting or remembers seeing the vehicles or people involved that night, please share what you know.
