Marcelino Madrigal, 46, was shot to death on January 20, 2021, while inside his tent in the Santa Ynez Riverbed in Lompoc, California. He was found with multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Madrigal’s family has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. The shooting came amid a spate of violent incidents in the area that week, including a 17-year-old shot and paralyzed and a 12-year-old wounded while waiting at a taco truck, which community members say has heightened concern about public safety.
