Phone Chankhamany, 54, was one of seven people killed in a mass shooting at an illegal marijuana grow site in Aguanga, California, on September 7, 2020. The remote Riverside County property on the edge of the Cleveland National Forest included a house, a trailer and makeshift dwellings and was occupied by more than 20 people, many recent immigrants from Laos who lived and worked there.

Deputies found six people fatally shot on scene and one woman who later died at a hospital. The site contained over 1,000 pounds of processed marijuana and several hundred plants. Investigators described the incident as a targeted, gang-related home invasion robbery, although nothing was reported stolen and no suspects were immediately identified; the case grew cold for several years until new clues surfaced in December 2024, including a mid-size dark-colored SUV believed linked to the perpetrators.

Phone was remembered as one of the hardworking victims who had come to the United States seeking better opportunities. Does anyone have information about Phone, the Aguanga grow site, or the SUV that could help investigators?
