Sixteen-year-old Pablo Sixto of Lompoc was shot and killed on August 7, 2020, shortly before 9 p.m. in the 700 block of North E Street. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Sixto with a gunshot wound; he was taken to a local hospital and died of his injuries. The shooting was reported as gang-related and was the fourth homicide in Lompoc that year.

The Lompoc Police Department has been investigating and is searching for multiple suspects, but no arrests have been announced. Police have not disclosed the number or identities of those sought. The killing prompted community memorials and calls for peace amid concern over a string of recent gang-related shootings.
