Brandi Lorraine Parham, 35, was killed by gunfire during a mansion party on Mulholland Drive in the Beverly Crest area of Beverly Hills on August 4, 2020. Police and firefighters responded to reports of shots fired at about 12:45 a.m.; Parham suffered fatal gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Three other people were wounded, two critically.
The party was described as a birthday celebration for an athlete and was attended by many guests. A partygoer’s video and initial reports described a violent altercation involving gang members and high-stakes gambling. Officers had visited the house earlier that night over complaints about the large gathering and issued citations for illegally parked cars but did not disperse the event. The mansion had been rented for the party.
Investigators say the shooting may be gang-related and that social media played a part in escalating tensions. No arrests or suspects have been publicly identified and the LAPD is asking anyone with information to come forward. If anyone knew Brandi Parham or has information about the party or people present that night, please share what can help the investigation.
