Leverne Berry, 79, of Waxahachie, Texas, was last seen the morning of August 7, 2017, sitting on his porch at the couple’s home in the 400 block of Wyatt Street and is believed to have walked away. He was reported missing by his wife after she awoke and discovered he was gone. At disappearance he wore blue jeans and a long-sleeved maroon and beige shirt. Leverne, about 5 feet 8 inches with a salt-and-pepper beard and 160–180 pounds, suffered from dementia and a Silver Alert was issued August 8, 2017.
Searches by the Waxahachie Police Department, search dogs and volunteers produced no confirmed sightings or substantive leads.
