I’ve been following the Jesus Bustamante case, and my heart goes out to his family and friends who are still seeking answers more than three years later. One thing I’ve been wondering about is whether there have been any attempts to increase surveillance or CCTV coverage in the area where the shooting occurred. It seems like that could really help deter future crimes and maybe even provide some leads for ongoing investigations like this one.
Does anyone know if the local officials or community leaders have pushed for better surveillance in that neighborhood, especially given the concerns about gun violence? It’s so frustrating to think that there might be measures out there that could prevent these kinds of senseless tragedies. If there’s any way the community can advocate for this, I hope it’s something being considered. It’s been a long road, but I still hope for justice for Jesus and peace for his family.
Did anyone else hear about the recent community meeting held to discuss ongoing violence in East LA? I read that Jesus Bustamante's family attended and spoke passionately about their loss. It seems like they’re not just waiting for justice passively—they're actively trying to rally the neighborhood to help prevent more senseless violence like what happened to Jesus. I cannot imagine the pain they're experiencing. It's inspiring to see them pushing for change even amid their grief. Does anyone know if there are any specific initiatives being planned as a result of this meeting? It would be great to see the community come together and make a real difference.
