I’ve been following the case of Jayson McKinley's murder, and something that's really been on my mind is the community's response. It’s been powerful to see people come together for vigils and memorials, showing so much love and support for his family and friends. It speaks volumes about Jayson and the kind of person he must have been to inspire such unity and compassion from those who knew him and even those who didn’t. But what really strikes me is the collective call for change regarding safety in Willowbrook. There’s this unending determination to push for better cooperation with law enforcement and proactive measures to combat violence, not just for justice in Jayson's case but to protect the community as a whole. It’s a testament to the strength and resilience of people who want to see something positive come from such a horrible loss. I truly hope that this solidarity leads to meaningful change and, eventually, justice for Jayson. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy; you’re in my thoughts.
