Eric Joseph Denham, 48, died on February 17, 2020, in National City, California. His obituary describes him as a person with a vibrant personality who was well loved by friends and family.

Police say his death occurred during a chaotic shooting at a house party where gunfire erupted and multiple people were injured or killed. The National City Police Department processed substantial evidence from the scene and conducted interviews and forensic follow-up, but investigators faced challenges because of the large number of people present.

Eric’s death prompted local legal and community discussions about safety and violence prevention as friends and family mourned. Can anyone who attended that house party or who has information about the shooting contact investigators?
