Andres Andrew Gallegos, 19, of Rowland Heights was fatally shot on January 13, 2020, at the Vistara Apartment Homes in Ontario, California. The late-night shooting, about 11:32 p.m., also killed 21-year-old Max Mariano Reyes of Ontario. Officers found both men with fatal gunshot wounds at the scene.

Investigators tracked a 22-year-old Raul Austin Gonzalez to a nearby hospital where he was being treated for gunshot injuries; Gonzalez was arrested on suspicion of murder. A second man who arrived at the hospital with Gonzalez was detained for questioning and later released. Police have not said whether the victims or the suspect lived at the apartment complex, and the motive remains unclear.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Ontario Police Department.
