On September 28, 2019, 19-year-old Ezequiel Garcia Aguirre was shot and killed at the Petaluma Factory Outlets in Petaluma, California. Garcia had arranged a meeting with 30-year-old David Kyle Lubkin of Concord to sell a necklace via Craigslist.

The Petaluma Police Department conducted an investigation that included eyewitness statements identifying Lubkin as the suspect. The Sonoma County District Attorney’s office prosecuted the case; at trial Lubkin was found guilty of first-degree murder and discharging a firearm at a motor vehicle causing death. At sentencing the judge imposed 50 years to life, noting Garcia was unarmed and fleeing when shot.

Did anyone who knew Ezequiel or was at the outlet that day come forward with additional details that could help clarify the final moments before he left the scene?
