Jason Culberson, 43, was found dead on September 3, 2019, inside a home on C Avenue in Hesperia, California. He was discovered alongside 37-year-old Melissa Graetz; authorities did not immediately release causes of death for either person. Their deaths were linked to a wider investigation into multiple killings in late August and early September 2019.
Investigators connected the deaths of Culberson and Graetz to the earlier discovery of 35-year-old Brandi Jones, who was found dead in her car in Apple Valley on August 30, 2019. Police identified 37-year-old Phillip Michael Williamson as the primary suspect in the three homicides and in related allegations of robbery and arson. Williamson was implicated after an August 30 confrontation in Apple Valley in which a 76-year-old man was forced to turn over cash and a handgun and reported seeing a woman partially hidden inside Williamson’s vehicle; that vehicle was later found abandoned with Jones’ body inside. Evidence of a struggle was reported at Williamson’s Hesperia residence, and investigators obtained search and arrest warrants.
Williamson was arrested in August 2020 in Ensenada, Mexico, by a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, extradited to the United States, and booked on multiple charges, including murder, robbery, and burglary, with bail set at $1,000,000. Who has information about Culberson, Graetz, or Jones that could help investigators complete the timeline of events?
