Christian Alarcon, a 26-year-old father of three, was shot and killed outside his home on Workman Avenue in Temple City, California, on July 15, 2019. Neighbors had been in an ongoing dispute that neighbors and family say centered on surveillance cameras Massimo Barbagallo had installed, which were reportedly aimed toward Alarcon’s home and backyard. According to Alarcon’s girlfriend, Amy Giron, the neighbor had been harassing the family over noise, music and their pitbull since they moved in.
On the day of the shooting Giron told Alarcon about the cameras while he was napping; he went outside to ask Barbagallo to remove them and was shot in the upper torso. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department found him at the scene, and he was taken to a hospital where he died. Barbagallo was arrested shortly afterward and charged with murder; he was being held on $1 million bail and faced additional gun allegations.
Does anyone have information about the surveillance cameras, prior disputes between the neighbors, or what happened that day?
