I've been thinking a lot about the heartbreaking situation at Costco and can't help but focus on the perspective of Kenneth French’s parents. Imagine being in a store with your family, thinking it's just another day, and suddenly it turns into a nightmare. Kenneth’s parents, Russell and Paola, survived the incident but will carry the emotional and physical scars forever. I’ve read that Russell even tried to warn the officer by saying that Kenneth was sick. As a parent, stepping in to protect your child must be instinctive, and doing so in such a chaos-filled moment took immense courage. This tragic event not only changed their lives with the loss of their son but has probably left them with an immense feeling of helplessness and anger. It’s a tough reminder of how quick, misunderstood actions can have life-altering consequences. My heart sincerely goes out to them, and I hope they find some peace amid the turmoil.
