He had been shot multiple times and local authorities treated the death as a homicide.
Investigators described the shooting as gang-related. Two men, 21-year-old Nakeshlon Wills of Marina and 19-year-old Carlmari Burgos of Seaside, were arrested and charged with murder, criminal gang conspiracy, street gang act, and street gang felony murder. Both were identified by the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team as members of the Crips and were apprehended by Gilroy police on the 100 block of Lewis Street in Gilroy; each had bail set at $3,030,000.
Tremain was remembered by family as a loving father and caregiver. Does anyone have information about Tremain, his movements that day, or the people involved that could help clarify what happened?
