David Mark Dominguez, 39, was shot to death on May 20, 2019, at a residence on Glenwood Road in Grass Valley, California. He and 25-year-old Rabecca Brieann Mershon were found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the basement of a house on the same property as the suspect and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators identified 35-year-old Michael Pocock, who lived in another house on the property, as the suspect. Pocock called 911, was compliant when officers arrived, and was detained at the scene; he was later arrested on two counts of homicide. Police say the victims were shot in separate areas of the property and that an argument occurred between Pocock and Dominguez, though the exact motive and what caused the dispute to escalate remain unclear. Pocock had prior legal troubles, including temporary restraining orders and accusations of harassment, assault, domestic violence, and DUI.
Anyone who knew David, Rabecca, their living situation on Glenwood Road, or who has information about the events of May 20, 2019, is asked to come forward.
