On the night of May 20, 2019, 25-year-old Rabecca Brieann Mershon was shot to death at a residence on Glenwood Road in Grass Valley, California. She and 39-year-old David Mark Dominguez were both living in the basement of a house on the same property as the suspect, 35-year-old Michael Pocock. Officers found Mershon and Dominguez unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Michael Pocock, who lived in a separate house on the property, called 911 and was detained by police; he was later arrested on two counts of homicide. Investigators say the victims were shot in separate areas of the property. Pocock’s prior legal troubles — including accusations that led to temporary restraining orders in 2014 and 2017 and other alleged incidents of harassment, assault, domestic violence and DUI — have been noted as background to the case.
The motive remains under investigation and legal proceedings are ongoing. Did anyone in the community have contact with Rabecca, her household, or the property around Glenwood Road in the days before May 20, 2019?
