Raymundo Arias, 23, was found dead from gunshot wounds inside a parked car on the evening of May 15, 2019, in the 34100 block of Vaquero Road near Dinah Shore Drive by the Ocotillo Place Apartments in Cathedral City, California. The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau identified him and ruled the cause of death a homicide due to the gunshot wounds.
A Cathedral City resident born April 18, 1996, in Rancho Mirage, Raymundo attended Cathedral City High School, worked as a landscaper and volunteered with the Conservation Camp Program assisting Cal-Fire on wildfires and disasters. Family and friends remember him as energetic, positive and generous; his sudden death left them seeking answers.
The Cathedral City Police Department opened an immediate investigation. As of the latest public update there have been no arrests or suspects identified and the case remains unsolved. Can anyone with information about Raymundo or his movements on May 15, 2019, help investigators?
