Spencer Hodgson, 31, of Klamath River, California, was found dead in a ravine near the Klamath River on April 8, 2019 after a citizen reported a deceased individual. The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Hodgson’s identity and an autopsy on April 10, 2019 determined he died from multiple gunshot wounds; his death was ruled a homicide.
Investigators recovered Hodgson’s missing pick-up truck with help from the California Highway Patrol’s Northern Division Air Operations Unit, and forensic teams conducted a thorough scene investigation. Leads developed from the truck’s recovery and from community tips, but the case initially faced periods where leads dissipated. A Secret Witness reward of up to $50,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Anyone with information about Hodgson, his movements in early April 2019, or knowledge about the crime is asked to come forward.
