Thalia Flores, 25, of Montclair, California, was shot to death on March 21, 2019, in the parking lot of a Big Lots on Central Avenue in Chino. She was sitting in the driver’s seat when her ex-boyfriend, Julio Cesar Rocha, approached and opened fire. A male passenger was also wounded and walked to a nearby hospital; he survived.

Family said Thalia had recently ended a seven-year abusive relationship with Rocha, who had been stalking her and leaving threatening messages. Rocha had prior convictions for misdemeanor battery and resisting arrest and had not completed a court-ordered anger management course. The Chino Police Department identified Rocha as the primary suspect and launched a manhunt, releasing his photo and describing him as armed and dangerous.

Thalia’s family remembered her as joyful and outgoing. Who in Chino or Montclair remembers Thalia or saw anything in the Big Lots parking lot that afternoon?
