Rudy Areyan, 46, was shot and killed on March 16, 2019, in the 18200 block of Tullock Street in Bloomington, California. Deputies found Areyan lying on the ground with fatal gunshot wounds and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department opened an investigation.

Detectives obtained a warrant the day following the shooting and identified 23-year-old Michael O’Brien of Beaumont as the primary suspect. O’Brien was arrested on April 22, 2019, by the Sheriff’s SWAT team in Perris and was booked into the Central Detention Center held without bail on suspicion of murder. Authorities reported that O’Brien and Areyan knew each other; no motive has been disclosed.
