Noah Davison, 21, was shot in the early hours of January 20, 2019, in the Sun Center parking lot at South Palm Canyon and Camino Parocela in Palm Springs. Police responded just before 2 a.m. after calls of gunfire and found blood and shell casings; the victims had been taken to hospital by a third party. Davison died at Desert Regional Medical Center; a 14-year-old boy was critically injured. Investigators reported that no suspects or motive had been identified and did not establish how the victims knew one another or why they were at the lot that night.
Davison’s former partner, Cynthia Cabrera, has sued the city of Palm Springs contending the city failed to enforce a 2012 security plan for Zelda’s nightclub. The complaint says the plan required security cameras that were never installed and links that noncompliance to the conditions that led to Davison’s death; it seeks damages for the couple’s two-year-old son. The nightclub later faced suspension of its business permit and eventual closure.
If anyone knew Noah, witnessed the shooting, or has information about the Sun Center parking lot that night, please share what you know.
