Nathan Sio, 22, of San Francisco, was killed on July 18, 2018, in El Sobrante. Deputies found him wounded in the driveway of a home in the 4800 block of San Pablo Dam Road at about 10:45 p.m. Emergency responders performed CPR and first aid, but Sio died at the scene and the incident was classified as a homicide.

Two people were arrested after the killing: Anthony Gaines, 22, of Richmond, and Judy Barkas, 57, of El Sobrante. The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office later declined to file charges against them, citing insufficient evidence; neither remained in custody. The Sheriff’s Office did not comment further, and investigators say the case remains open.

What information about Nathan’s movements that night or about the 4800 block of San Pablo Dam Road could help move this investigation forward?
