Jason Rosas, a 24-year-old resident of Indio, California, was killed in a gang-related shooting on June 13, 2018, outside the Showgirls Gentlemen’s Club in Cathedral City. The shooting followed an altercation inside the club between two groups who had been flashing gang tattoos at each other; after security expelled them, suspects returned to a vehicle, retrieved handguns and opened fire in the parking lot. Two other men, both 28, were wounded and expected to survive.

Authorities identified and arrested three suspects: Manuel Vargas, Christian Miramontes and Guillermo Gomez. Vargas and Miramontes were taken into custody shortly after the incident; Gomez initially fled to Mexico and was later located and arrested. All three were charged by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office with murder and attempted murder, with special circumstance allegations that could make them eligible for the death penalty. Court testimony indicated the attackers had planned the assault and lay in wait before firing.

Are there witnesses or anyone who remembers the night at Showgirls who can shed more light on what happened?
