Mark Allen Corona Arredondo Jr., 35, was shot to death on June 3, 2018, in Wildomar, California, while sitting in his vehicle outside Stadium Pizza. Witnesses say the shooter approached from behind, fired multiple rounds, walked away, then returned and shot him again, ensuring his death. The attack occurred in public and left the community and his family devastated.

Investigators identified his second cousin Paul Henry Carl Stoeppler as the person who carried out the killing. Paul and Mark had been close growing up. Paul allegedly became enraged before a planned lunch and armed himself, approached Mark at the restaurant parking area and shot him. Paul did not flee and was taken into custody.
