Jan Carlos Amiama, a 21-year-old resident of Bakersfield, California, was found dead on April 17, 2018, inside a parked Jeep Patriot in Burbank. A parking officer responding to a vehicle reported as stationary for an extended period discovered a foul odor and a person who appeared deceased. Investigators later determined Jan Carlos, his 23-year-old brother Lucas Josh Amiama, and a third unidentified victim all died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

The killings drew strong local attention because of their brutality and because the Amiama brothers were known in their community. Multiple law enforcement agencies investigated and conducted numerous interviews, but in the immediate aftermath no arrests had been announced and details about suspects or a motive were scarce. The case remained open as detectives continued to seek information.

If anyone knew the victims, saw the Jeep around April 17, 2018, or has information about these shootings, please share what is known.
