Lucas Josh Amiama, 23, of Bakersfield, California, was found dead on April 17, 2018, in a Jeep SUV parked in an industrial area of Burbank. His 21-year-old brother Jan Carlos Amiama and another unidentified man were also found dead in the vehicle. The Los Angeles County Coroner determined Lucas and Jan Carlos died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

The Jeep, with Tennessee plates, had been parked long enough that a parking enforcement officer noticed a foul odor and discovered the bodies. Investigators located evidence tied to the case at a property in Jurupa Valley, in Riverside County, and the Riverside County Central Homicide Unit took the lead while Burbank police continued to cooperate.
