Armando Garza, 33, was found dead in his vehicle in Kettleman City, California, on February 13, 2018. Deputies from the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, officers from the California Highway Patrol and Avenal Police Department responded about 6:45 a.m. to a report of a gunshot wound on the 200 block of Maud Street and found Garza in the driver’s seat; he had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives determined Garza was targeted while sitting in his car and identified unknown suspects as the shooters. Investigators later developed information linking members of the Norteno criminal street gang in Kettleman City to the homicide. No arrests have been announced and the suspects remain at large; detectives have appealed to the public for tips.
Does anyone in Kettleman City have information about Garza’s movements that morning or about gang activity in the area that could help investigators?
