Travis Robertson was 32 when he was shot and killed in a robbery on the evening of October 1, 2017, in Chico, California. The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. on West 4th Avenue after an assailant demanded his phone; witnesses said Robertson did not comply and was shot multiple times. He was survived by his partner, Sarah Martin, and their three daughters.
Police identified two people who fled the scene: Jason Jamar Jackson and Michaela Norman. Officers located and stopped them within minutes in a high-risk traffic stop. Jackson, who had a prior criminal record, was charged with murder, robbery, and possession of a firearm by a felon. The case drew attention in Chico because of its suddenness and the impact on Robertson’s family and community.
Does anyone have information about Travis’s last evening or the area around West 4th Avenue that night?
