Was anyone else struck by how much the transient community in this area seems to be overlooked? It's awful to think about how living in an industrial zone can make someone more vulnerable to such violence. I can't imagine what Jose Eduardo Ornelas and others living there must have felt, always on edge. The fact that the police haven’t identified any suspects yet shows how tough these cases are. I hope this doesn't become another forgotten case because everyone deserves justice, and no one should feel invisible. My thoughts are with Ornelas’ loved ones as well as the woman who survived—may they find the support and strength they need. If anyone on this forum knows more about the community in West Compton or has insights about the investigation, your input could really make a difference. Let's hope for a breakthrough soon.
