Andrew Guzman, 19, of Planada, California, died after a gunfight on Carson Street on July 4, 2017. Investigators say Guzman was inside a car and began shooting at a group; the group returned fire, wounding him. He then crashed his vehicle into a nearby house and was taken to a Modesto hospital, where he died three days later.

Officials describe the shooting as gang-related. The Merced County Sheriff’s Office has asked anyone with information to come forward.
