I've been thinking a lot about Eric Whitcomb's bravery during those last moments at the Circle K. It’s beyond gut-wrenching to hear how he tried to capture evidence of James Coon, potentially putting himself in even more danger to maybe help catch the perpetrator. I can't help but reflect on the courage it took for Eric to attempt photographing Coon. It shows just how selfless and dedicated he was, not only to his job but to protecting others. Losing someone who is so willing to stand up for what's right is incredibly hard for the community. My deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, and colleagues. Hopefully, this incident will urge more protections for store employees who face these kinds of threats while simply doing their jobs. It’s important that Eric’s actions are remembered and that such courage inspires changes to keep others safe.

I've been thinking a lot about Eric Whitcomb's instincts during that tragic morning at the Circle K. It's absolutely devastating to imagine the fear he must have felt, yet he still had the presence of mind to try and capture evidence of the suspect and the situation. Eric's actions were incredibly brave when faced with such a terrifying ordeal. It's a powerful reminder of how unpredictable these types of situations can be for workers just trying to get through their shift. My heart goes out to Eric's family, friends, and colleagues, who are left to piece together the fragments of their lives without him. It's stories like Eric's that make me think about what more can be done to protect those vulnerable to such crimes. It's a tough world, and we need to keep working together to make it safer for everyone in the community.
