Roger Jackson was 57 when he died on June 7, 2017, in Nuevo, California. His death followed a violent incident that prompted local authorities to open an extensive investigation and initially treat the case as a potential homicide.
Investigators pursued several leads, questioned multiple individuals, collected crime-scene evidence and interviewed witnesses. The inquiry found Jackson had been in a dispute with several people in the days before his death, a circumstance investigators viewed as a possible motive. A suspect was arrested, charged with Jackson’s murder, and tried. The prosecution presented forensic evidence and witness testimony; the defense argued the evidence and witness credibility were insufficient. A jury found the defendant guilty and imposed a lengthy prison sentence, and subsequent appeals challenging the conviction were unsuccessful.
If anyone knew Roger, the people he was in conflict with, or observed anything around Nuevo in early June 2017, can you share information that might still be relevant?
